Snowmobile Tour Insurance and Snowmobile Rental Insurance Clients At Outdoor Insurance Get Complete Insurance Coverage

According to Outdoor Insurance Group, there are six types of insurance all outdoor adventure and recreation businesses should have:

General Liability

Liability insurance protects the policyholder from lawsuits that may result from business related programs or activities.

Property, Business Owner’s Policy

This coverage combines general liability and property insurance protecting owned or rented business premises and items kept in the care of the business owner.

Commercial Auto

With commercial auto insurance cars, trucks, motorcycles and other vehicles operated by a business are protected against physical damage and bodily injury resulting from accidents and traffic violations and liabilities that could be incurred as a result.

Worker’s Compensation

This insurance covers wage replacement and medical expenses for employees harmed during the course of their workday activities.

Life Insurance

Life insurance pays a sum of money to a pre-determined beneficiary upon the policyholder’s death.

Personal Umbrella

This liability insurance is offered for losses that are not covered by other types of insurance or whose damages exceed other coverage payout amounts.

While all of these may not apply to individual snowmobile tour insurance and snowmobile rental insurance policy holders, Outdoor Insurance Group experts work with clients to ensure that they are protected from every eventuality. They specialize in creating all-inclusive policies considering all variables including the size of an outfit, the type of activities engaged in and risks associated with these activities, number of employees and amount and type of property and equipment owned. By tailoring specific insurance plans to each snowmobile outfit, they offer the most cost effective personalized insurance plans for all snowmobile operations. Outdoor Recreation Insurance Company Outdoor Insurance Group Shares Risk Management Advice From The SBA

For managing business risks, Outdoor Insurance Group provides outdoor recreation insurance and outdoor adventure insurance to outdoor outfits offering fishing, hunting, camping, off roading, water sports, trail sports, motor cycling, wheel sports, snow sports, and more across the country.

But don’t just take it from us. The Small Business Administration recommends adopting a variety of risk management strategies to avert catastrophe and provide you with the best possible protection.

BarbaraWeltman, SBA Guest Blogger, discusses choice of entity, contracts and agreements, disaster preparedness, best business practices, and most importantly, business insurance plans at https://www.sba.gov/blogs/5-best-risk-management-strategies?utm_medium=email&utm_source=govdelivery.

Here’s what she says about the importance of insurance. “Carrying adequate insurance coverage can go a long way in protecting you from property losses as well as liability claims. Consider the following types of policies for optimum protection”:

  • Business owners policy (BOP). This policy for small businesses provides protection for your property (except for excluded events and amounts over the policy limit) as well as liability protection for claims by third parties (e.g., a customer slips and falls on your premises). The policy may also cover employee theft and other occurrences.
  • Professional liability coverage. This policy protects professionals from client claims of mistakes (malpractice), negligence, or unfinished work.
  • Business interruption policy. This policy provides funds to cover your fixed costs (and possibly loss of profits) following an event that shuts you down (e.g., a hurricane).
  • Workers’ compensation insurance. This protects the business for claims when employees have a job-related injury or illness.
  • Employer practices liability insurance (EPLI). This covers you for claims by employees and former employees for such actions as discrimination and wrongful termination.

Insurance expertise coupled with intimate knowledge of all adventure sporting activities enables Outdoor Insurance Group to design individual plans for each customer, taking into account their unique business needs and potential for risk. Outdoor Recreation Insurance Company Outdoor Insurance Group Hires The Best

Meet Our Professionals: Brian Stevens, Producer

When did you join OIG?

Spring 2017

Tell us about yourself.

I taught and coached teenagers for 14 years, so I am not afraid of anyone. I also worked as a fly fishing guide and shop manager for seven summers. I have been an insurance agent for three years, and it’s been a pleasure to blend my passions for guiding and the outdoors with my profession.

What’s your first memory of the outdoors?

Family camping trips all over Wisconsin, where it was okay to stay dirty all day and cook everything over the fire.

What outdoor activities do you participate in today? What’s your favorite?

I still keep my fly rod ready to go in my car, and I have started competitive running, but my favorite activity is just getting out to the mountains with my wife and sons, age 7 and 10.

Any other interesting hobbies?

I have been a vocalist for 35 years. I toured all over Britain with a boy choir at age 11. Nowadays I only have time for the church choir and rare karaoke outings.

What do you like about your job?

I am no longer rigging rods for guide trips, but I help enable people all over the US to turn their passions into businesses, and I get to teach a little every day.

What makes you good at your job?

A desire to know details, curiosity about my clients’ visions for their businesses, and undying patience honed by years of teaching, coaching, and parent-teacher conferences.

What advice would you give to clients about the importance of insurance?

Insurance should help set you free, not be a burden. Imagine doing what you love for a living, without having to look over your shoulder for the next disaster.

Why should outdoor activities businesses come to OIG?

We live what we insure. We have seen the outdoors/leisure industry as both professionals and clients. From staying at B&Bs and lodges to hunting, paddling, hiking, fishing, surfing, camping, riding, and shooting, there’s going to be somebody in our office who has experienced what each client wants to offer. Whether they run a walking tour of New York City or an electric paddleboard tour of Maui, we’ve been there.

With insurance expertise, OIG insurers cover all the business insurance aspects of risk and offer free consultations to new businesses or those interested in updating their outdoor insurance plans.

If you’re an outdoor business owner looking to purchase, renew, or update an Outdoor Recreation Insurance or Outdoor Adventure Insurance plan, call today for a free consultation (888) 683-7808. Our agents will get you the most out of your specific insurance strategy with the most cost effective plan.

Fishing Guide Insurance Experts at Outdoor Insurance Group Recommend Starting The Season With an Insurance Review

If you’re a professional guide, now is the time to take inventory of your insurance needs.  Letting the professionals do a review of your insurance to get you ready for the busy season ahead is a good start.  Outdoor Insurance Group helps get many fishing guides ready with free consultations. Take advantage of the opportunity to have one of our experts review your insurance to see where you may need more coverage, and, more importantly, where you may be able to save some money.  OIG insurance plans are tailored to match each guide’s specialty and needs.  No two customers are alike so no two plans are alike.  Whatever your specialty or location, protecting your business is a top priority for us.  Because we know insurance and we know you’re business, we know what’s most important to manage your risks.

There is a big difference between fly fishing and deep sea fishing. The right insurance plan takes into account all specifics related to the sport. Fishing guides are always at risk of personal injury.  In addition, you need to cover yourself for risk related to loss of business related to weather conditions and costly equipment damage. For boat trips, liability and physical damage to your boat called Hull Coverage, is a necessity offered by Outdoor Insurance Group.  Your OIG insurance expert will be sure that your fishing guide insurance level is specific to your category from boats to walk and wade trips, to float tubes, kayaks, paddle boards and more.

With a growing business serving fishing guides from Alaska to Florida, Outdoor Insurance Group assures all of its fishing guide insurance clients that the right coverage is low cost and easily obtainable with a quick and simple application process.  Certificates for Government and other licensing agencies are free and OIG will mail the certifications to the offices on your behalf if requested.  You can also rely on your insurance representative to gather all approved forms for US Forest Service and US National Parks and all other licensing agencies.  Call today (888) 683-7808.

Meet Expert Cyndi Dewey
Receptionist and Hunt Lease Program Coordinator

Tell us about yourself.

I am a Colorado native and spent most of my “growing up years” in Steamboat Springs, CO. I went to college in Rangely, CO, and majored in Dental Hygiene. The last 10 years I have had one or both feet in the world of insurance. I have 2 grown children, one in PA and one in HI, with 5 grandchildren between the 2 families. My husband, Roger, and I will celebrate 49 years of marriage in August.

What’s your first memory of the outdoors?

Probably my first memory of an outdoor activity, besides feeding the chickens and cows, is picking asparagus along the ditches with my mom and sisters. My first camping trip was when I was 3 and I remember it rained most of the time we were there!

What outdoor activities do you participate in today? What’s your favorite?

Most of our outdoor activity now consists of hiking. I like to walk the trails near our home which usually have some wildlife (waterfowl, fox and coyote) to see.

Any other interesting hobbies not necessarily related to outdoors?

I love to knit, crotchet and work on projects with my grandkids when they are around. I recently got my instructor certification for teaching water aerobics – my favorite form of regular exercise.

How long have you been at OIG?

I have worked at OIG since 2009.

What do you like about your job?

I enjoy the team I work with — a great group of people who are all dedicated to doing a good job but also know how to have a good laugh!

What makes you good at your job?

I am a detail oriented person and enjoy being helpful, whether to other employees or customers.

What advice would you give to clients about the importance of insurance?

In today’s world, you can’t afford NOT to have insurance.

Why should outdoor activities businesses come to OIG?

I feel that the staff and ownership of this company all have a good understanding and a love of outdoor activities and are very knowledgeable about what different businesses insurance needs might be. One type policy doesn’t fit all insurance needs.

Protect Against Cyber Security Threats with Complete Outdoor Recreation Insurance and Outdoor Adventure Insurance Strategies.

Outdoor Recreation Insurance and Outdoor Adventure Insurance clients could, like any other business, fall prey to cyber security threats.

OIG insurance specialists are prepared to help you tackle Cyber Security. Cyber security threats are growing exponentially. Every day, more viruses are being launched than ever before. The estimated annual cost for cyber crime globally is nearly 100 billion dollars. Hackers are not only targeting corporations, but small businesses and individuals must also be vigilant in protecting against threats. Anyone with an internet connection runs the risk of a cyber attack.

Here are a few reasons you should carry Cyber Liability Insurance:

  • It’s more affordable than you may think — premiums can be as low as $500 dollars.
  • It can cover business interruption liabilities as an additional benefit.
  • Even if you don’t host your data yourself, you are still responsible. If your data is hosted or stored in the Cloud, take a look at your contracts to determine if you are still legally responsible.
  • Your general policy won’t cover you in the case of cyber threats. General Liability does not cover anything aside from 3rd party injury.
  • Cyber coverage can also cover laptops & mobile devices.

Protect yourself. Talk to your OIG specialist today.
